ANKARA — The Kingdom’s embassy in Ankara has called on Saudi citizens, who are facing problems arising out of investment in real estate sector in Turkey, to contact the embassy for better understanding of the legal procedures involved and authenticity of the firms working in the sector. The objective is to protect the citizens and their rights.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Saudi embassy said it has received many complaints from Saudi citizens facing problems in the real estate sector.

It added that examples include:

*Not getting an ownership receipt or ownership receipts restricted with real estate mortgage

*Being denied entry to their residences despite paying the whole cost of the property

*Receiving threats from real estate companies

*Not getting the possession of the residences at the specified time as agreed on in the contracts between the two parties — buyers and real estate companies. — SG
